Cellavara Core Plus
Everything in Core, plus methylene blue by prescription.
Why Core Plus exists. Methylene blue has drawn wide interest for its role in cellular energy, and many people already buy it online with no medical review. Core Plus gives the people who want it a better way: checked by a licensed provider, made by a licensed pharmacy, and paired with the full Core system.
Methylene blue is a prescription medication that researchers have studied for its role in how cells produce energy in the mitochondria. Because it’s a prescription medication, not a supplement, it can’t go into a supplement packet. With Core Plus, an independent licensed provider reviews your health history online and decides whether it’s right for you.
How it will work
- Answer a few quick health questions online, from the comfort and convenience of your home.
- A licensed provider in your state reviews them. Through an independent telehealth network, with availability planned in all 50 states. Some states require a short video call.
- A licensed U.S. pharmacy fills it. Pharmacy-grade methylene blue, labeled for you, shipped in your Core Plus box with your Core packets.

Find out if methylene blue is right for you
Methylene blue for Core Plus is a compounded prescription medication. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify them for safety, effectiveness or quality. A prescription is written only if a licensed provider determines it’s appropriate for you. Not for use with antidepressants or other serotonergic medications, with G6PD deficiency, or during pregnancy or nursing. It may turn urine blue or green, which is harmless.
Methylene blue: the facts
Why we chose it for Core Plus, in what is known.
140+ years in medicine
First made in 1876, it was one of the first synthetic compounds used as a medicine, given for malaria in the 1890s.
An FDA-approved medication
An FDA-approved form is used in hospitals to treat methemoglobinemia, a condition in which red blood cells can’t carry oxygen properly. Methylene blue helps convert the altered hemoglobin back to its normal, oxygen-carrying form. It is also on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.
Studied in cellular respiration
Cellular respiration is how mitochondria, the cell’s energy centers, turn food and oxygen into ATP, the energy every cell runs on. In laboratory research, methylene blue can accept and pass along electrons in the final stage of that process, the electron transport chain. That property is why researchers study it in cellular energy.
The dose matters
Its effects depend heavily on dose, and the research interest is in low doses, far below hospital doses. That’s why a licensed provider decides your dose.
Not for everyone
The FDA warns it can cause serious reactions with serotonergic medications, including many antidepressants, and it isn’t for people with G6PD deficiency or during pregnancy. That’s why Core Plus starts with a provider review.
Blue for a reason
It began as a dye, so it can tint urine blue or green for a day or so. That’s expected and harmless.
Already take methylene blue? Here’s what changes with Core Plus.
Methylene blue, held to a pharmacy standard.
Pharmacy grade, by rule
Made by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy from USP-grade methylene blue, sourced from FDA-registered suppliers, as federal compounding rules require.
Checked before it ships
A licensed provider reviews your medications and health history first, including the antidepressant interactions that matter most. Not “take at your own risk.”
Exact dose, labeled for you
Each capsule’s strength is set by your prescription and labeled with your name, sealed in a child-resistant blister card.
Part of a complete system
Core Plus pairs methylene blue with the full Core AM and PM formula, with every Core lot independently tested and the results published.
Read the label
If methylene blue says “for research use only,” “not for human consumption” or “take at your own risk,” it wasn’t made to the standards of something you swallow every day. Without testing, a product can contain less than its label says, break down with heat, light and time, or carry contaminants such as heavy metals, and there’s no way to know. Core Plus starts with USP pharmaceutical-grade methylene blue from an FDA-registered source, with a certificate of analysis, compounded by a licensed U.S. pharmacy under USP standards.

Why we keep it on its own
Methylene blue is a reactive compound: it reacts with common ingredients, and it’s sensitive to light. That’s why Core Plus follows rigorous protocols for this ingredient. Quality matters, which is why we offer it only through a licensed pharmacy, sealed in its own blister and kept separate from everything else, for product purity and your safety.
Pharmacy grade isn’t a marketing phrase. It means a recognized standard, a registered source and a licensed pharmacist, every time.
